Sell low-cost phone cases as a side business and earn over 100,000 yuan a year.

     Recently, I’ve been breaking down projects for everyone. Since I wrote a lot of articles on internet entrepreneurship recently, many friends asked me to write more project analyses, so I’ve been breaking down some of the projects I’ve come across for everyone.


Young people, especially young women, have a high demand for phone cases. Although they are not expensive, they require phone cases to be beautiful, aesthetically pleasing, unique, and personalized. Additionally, the frequency of changing phone cases is quite high, as many people frequently switch cases to maintain a sense of novelty.

This business opportunity has been noticed by many manufacturers, leading to an endless stream of unique and creative phone cases. While phone cases were once primarily used to protect phones from damage, they are now seen as tools for young people to express their fashion sense and individuality.

Today, I’ll analyze how some people have managed to earn 100,000 yuan annually by selling phone cases.

First, you need to make the phone cases yourself, which requires investing in a phone case printer. Currently, the cost of a phone case printer is around 1,000 yuan. Printing a single phone case costs between 2 and 5 yuan. The actual selling price of a customized phone case is around 25 to 40 yuan. Therefore, the profit margin for a single phone case is between 15 and 30 yuan, which is relatively high.

We can create various phone case series based on different needs, such as photo series, retro series, and cartoon series.

Phone case sales can be conducted in two forms.

The first is direct sales without intermediaries taking a cut. This approach requires ample free time and the ability to endure hardships. The advantage is high profit margins, but the drawback is that it is time-consuming and labor-intensive, making it difficult to scale up.

Second, recruiting agents. You can share profits with agents, who will help you expand the market. Of course, agents need to purchase a batch of goods to have the motivation to do so. It is best to recruit agents from universities, selecting one per dormitory floor, and setting different incentive policies. This requires some business acumen.
The only risk in this project is the equipment investment. To mitigate risks initially, you can collaborate with others to jointly purchase equipment and share the risks. If you are not overly concerned about the amount invested in equipment, you can also invest entirely on your own.
If you plan to sell the products yourself, it is recommended to conduct thorough market research beforehand. Choose prime locations such as shopping districts, underground passages, school entrances, train stations, bus stations, and tourist attractions. These stores can also serve as excellent locations to recruit agents. In areas with high foot traffic, you can collaborate with store owners to sell phone cases, with profits shared. You leverage their customer traffic, while they sell your products.
